In this full-time position, you'll work 37.5 hours each week for the 2026-2027 school year. Your expertise will be key in helping students access classroom instruction and school activities, fostering an inclusive learning environment across both Elementary and High School campuses.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid WI Educator Certification required
- EIPA proficiency score of 3.3 and EIPA Written Test preferred
- Prior experience in academic interpreting or supporting school-aged children is a strong plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students and staff
- Professionalism and adaptability when changing between settings and age groups
Core Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken language and classroom communication into sign language for 1-2 students at a time
- Work across two school sites, serving as a reliable support in both elementary and high school environments
- Facilitate student participation in classroom discussions, group activities, assemblies, and extracurricular programs
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards in educational interpreting
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and other interpreters to ensure student success
