Make an impact supporting students as a Sign Language Interpreter in an educational setting near Green Bay, WI. This full-time, onsite contract position offers the opportunity to partner with school staff and provide language access to deaf and hard-of-hearing students, helping them thrive academically and socially.
In this role, you'll spend your days at two different school sites—both elementary and high school—interpreting for students across classroom instruction, small groups, assemblies, and other school activities. You'll likely support 1–2 students at a time, ensuring their full participation in all aspects of their education during the 2026–2027 school year.
Required qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid Wisconsin Educator Certification
- EIPA score of 3.3 or higher and completion of the EIPA Written Test preferred
- Proven experience interpreting in K-12 school environments
- Strong understanding of educational and developmental needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Ability to maintain a professional, supportive rapport with students, families, and school staff
Key responsibilities:
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers in all educational settings
- Prepare for and adapt to classroom content and instructional styles
- Collaborate with the student’s educational team to support individual learning goals
- Travel between two school sites as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with school policies and protocols
