What we’re seeking:
- Bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language (ASL) or Educational Interpreting
- Current credentials: EIPA, RID, or NID certification
- Demonstrated experience or confidence working 1:1 with high school students in an educational setting
- Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and student empowerment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
Role responsibilities:
- Provide clear, accurate ASL interpretation for all classes and school activities attended by the assigned 11th-grade student
- Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment that empowers student engagement
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to ensure seamless communication access
- Support the student’s academic, social, and emotional growth
- Maintain high ethical standards and respect student privacy in all interactions
This full-time assignment offers consistency with guaranteed 35+ hours per week, starting in August and extending through June.
