Sign Language Interpreter in Easley, SC

This contract assignment runs through May 27th, 2027, providing you the opportunity to make a meaningful difference as a dedicated one-on-one interpreter for a transfer student entering General Education classes. You'll support inclusion and accessibility for a promising young learner, collaborating closely with educators and a DHH teacher.
Key qualifications for success:
- Current EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (as required by new SC State guidelines)
- High school diploma or higher
- Successful completion of the written EIPA exam
- Ability to pass a background check
- Willingness to adhere to the Sign Language Interpreter Code of Ethics
Within this role, your primary responsibility is to provide consistent, high-quality interpreting services to a single middle school student throughout the day—excluding a 70-minute period spent with a DHH teacher for IEP services. You’ll facilitate clear communication in various classroom and school settings, helping the student thrive both academically and socially. Schedules are full-time (37.5 hours weekly), with hours approximately 8:15 am–3:30 pm or 8:00 am–3:45 pm, depending on final school placement.
