Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Current Georgia Educator Certification for Sign Language Interpreters with an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
—OR— - SLI Para professionals with near-qualifying EIPA scores planning to retake the exam (option to transition into a tech support role, then a full SLI role during the school year)
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and interpreting in educational settings
- Comfortable maintaining daily service documentation logs
- Collaborative attitude; open to discussing interests and experience in interviews to determine the best student age group match
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver onsite ASL interpretation for students during instructional and extracurricular activities
- Coordinate with educators and support staff to support student learning
- Attend pre/post-planning sessions as needed within the contract dates
- Document interpreting services daily to ensure program compliance
This contract runs from August 3rd, 2026 to May 21st, 2027. Full-time hours are available (minimum 37.5 hours/week), with some flexibility considered for exceptional candidates.
