The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through May 21st, 2027, with some flexibility for pre- and post-planning days.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Educator Certification for Sign Language Interpreters and an EIPA score of 3.5 or above.
- Candidates who are SLI paraprofessionals with closely qualifying EIPA scores and a commitment to retake the exam for full certification are also encouraged (potential for advancement to a full SLI role during the assignment).
- Proficiency in American Sign Language and strong skills in facilitating communication between students, staff, and families.
- Readiness to complete daily logs to document provided services.
- Willingness to discuss preferred age groups and experience during interviews to ensure optimal placement.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver interpreting services within a school environment, adapting to the needs of assigned students and educational staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of daily activities.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to foster inclusive, accessible learning experiences.
