Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken language into sign language (and vice versa) during classroom instruction, activities, meetings, and other school-related communications
- Support students who are deaf or hard of hearing by ensuring clear, accurate, and confidential interpretation
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to promote inclusivity and equal access to educational content
- Maintain appropriate boundaries and follow all ethical guidelines for interpreters in schools
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and extracurricular events as needed
- Provide feedback to teachers and staff regarding effective communication strategies
