Key Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Educator Certification for Sign Language Interpreters with an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
- Alternatively, candidates who are SLI paraprofessionals with close EIPA scores and a commitment to retake the exam are welcome (potential transition to full SLI within the year)
- Experience in educational or school-based settings strongly preferred
- Comfortable completing and maintaining accurate daily service documentation logs
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality sign language interpretation services to students within the school environment
- Collaborate directly with school staff and participate in interviews to discuss preferences and experience with various age groups and caseloads
- Adapt to varying student needs and placements as determined by the district, ensuring tailored support
- Maintain thorough, organized daily logs of all interpreting and related activities as required by the district
