Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum score of 4.0 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA)
- Experience working in educational settings, preferably as a one-on-one interpreter
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and families
- Current licensure required
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, on-site sign language interpreting services to a third-grade student throughout the school day
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom experience by accurately interpreting classroom lessons, peer interactions, and activities
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and support staff to address student needs
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times
- Adapt communication methods as needed to promote the student’s full engagement in both academic and social settings
Role Details:
- Contract runs from August 24, 2026, to June 3, 2027
- Consistent schedule: 8:45 AM – 3:00 PM (with a 30-minute lunch)
- On-site only, serving one dedicated student
