What We’re Looking For:
- Active state licensure for Sign Language Interpreters
- EIPA score of at least 3.5 or higher
- Prior experience supporting students in educational settings is a plus
- Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to facilitate understanding between students and staff
- Dedication to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional ethics
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom lessons, discussions, and activities between students, teachers, and peers
- Support effective learning by providing clear, accurate interpretations of educational material
- Collaborate with educators and other support staff to address individual student needs
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as required
- Maintain thorough records and documentation of services provided
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive academic environment
