Sign Language Interpreter in Midland, GA

This contract opportunity calls for two skilled onsite professionals to assist students across a range of grade levels, ensuring every learner receives equitable access to instruction and communication.
Responsibilities include delivering real-time interpretation for students and staff in classrooms and school events, facilitating seamless communication between Deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers or teachers. You’ll also be expected to keep detailed daily logs to document the services provided—a key part of helping educators track progress and meet compliance standards. The specific age groups and caseloads will be determined after a collaborative placement conversation, allowing you to find the best fit for your background and interests.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active Georgia Educator Certification for Sign Language Interpreters, with an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
- Alternatively, candidates with close EIPA scores, working towards retesting, are encouraged to apply—initial placement as SLI tech with a transition plan to full SLI
- Prior experience supporting children in educational settings preferred
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics
- Comfort and diligence in maintaining accurate service logs

- Full-time, 37.5 hours/week; part-time options may be considered
- Contract dates: August 3, 2026 – May 21, 2027 (pre/post planning days may apply)
