Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Fluency in American Sign Language
- Prior experience working in school settings, ideally as a Sign Language Interpreter
- EIPA score of 3.5 or above, or RID certification preferred
- Confidence interpreting in both educational and social settings for high school students
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to confidentiality and high professional standards
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 sign language interpretation for a high school student, in both classroom and other school activities
- Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to ensure effective communication accommodations
- Foster an accessible and positive educational experience
- Support student engagement and participation throughout the school day
- Ensure adherence to all relevant protocols, ethical guidelines, and district policies
