What You’ll Need:
- RID Certification, EIPA, or equivalent (as required by state/district)
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language
- Prior experience interpreting in school settings preferred
- Ability to adapt to various classroom environments and age groups
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Current state and/or national background checks (or willingness to obtain)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sign language interpretation for students, staff, and educators in classroom and school activities
- Facilitate effective communication to promote inclusive education
- Collaborate with special education teams to support individualized student needs
- Adhere to professional standards of confidentiality and ethical interpreting practices
