Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Raeford, NC

Step into a dynamic role supporting students by facilitating communication and accessibility as a Sign Language Interpreter for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, onsite contract position offers the unique opportunity to be engaged in a school setting in the Raeford, NC area from August 10, 2026, through May 27, 2027. You’ll work closely with students and educational teams to help ensure every learner has access to a rich, inclusive educational experience.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter in the state of North Carolina
- Demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Prior experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Ability to work exclusively onsite for the entirety of the contract
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretive services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in classroom and school-related activities
- Serve as a communication bridge between students, staff, and peers to promote full participation
- Support students’ academic and social success by facilitating understanding in group settings and one-on-one interactions
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all school environments
- Communicate regularly with the educational team regarding student progress, needs, and recommendations
