Qualifications:
- Hold an ASLPI (American Sign Language Proficiency Interview) score of 4.1 or higher
- Demonstrated experience delivering 1:1 interpreting services, preferably in educational settings
- Ability to accurately interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and social interactions
- Strong collaborative skills to work alongside teachers, therapists, and other school staff
- Commitment to student confidentiality and ethical interpreting practices
- Relevant certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality sign language interpretation for a designated student throughout the school day
- Support communication in academic classes and related activities, ensuring accessibility
- Prepare for lessons and specialized vocabulary as needed
