Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid national or state certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience interpreting in educational settings, especially at the high school level
- Ability to accommodate students with multiple disabilities (cognitive, behavioral, and vision impairment)
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver full-time in-class and out-of-class interpreting services (8:15 am–3:45 pm)
- Adjust interpreting techniques to support effective communication for all learning needs
- Collaborate with educational staff and related service providers
