What you’ll need to succeed:
- Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Minimum 4.0 EIPA score required
- Previous experience supporting students in an educational setting, particularly 1:1 interactions
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Professionalism, reliability, and discretion when working with confidential information
- Ability to work on-site during school hours
- Proof of current licensure
What you’ll do:
- Serve as a dedicated 1:1 interpreter for a third-grade student
- Foster clear communication between the student, peers, and school staff
- Collaborate with teachers and educational teams to ensure the student's needs are met
- Support the student’s participation in classroom activities and school programs
- Accurately interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa throughout the school day
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and confidentiality policies at all times

- Regular school hours (33.75 hours/week: 8:45am–3:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break)
