You’ll play a crucial part in facilitating seamless communication between Deaf or Hard of Hearing (D/HH) students and their hearing peers and educators. By providing timely and accurate translation between spoken English and American Sign Language (ASL), you’ll help foster inclusivity and empower students to thrive academically and socially.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter required
- Demonstrated proficiency in ASL and spoken English
- Prior experience working in school, educational, or youth-focused environments strongly preferred
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, adaptability, and professional discretion
- Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to the code of ethics for interpreters
- Strong organizational abilities and reliability
Key Responsibilities:
