Sign Language Interpreter Opportunity – In-Person or Hybrid Schedule

The interpreter will primarily be on-site at least four days per week, with flexibility for some hybrid days, offering vital access and engagement in the classroom.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing real-time sign language interpretation for students in a variety of academic and social settings.
- Supporting direct communication during instruction, group activities, assessments, and school events.
- Assisting with evaluations for students in the SAILS and STEPs programs.
- Collaborating with educators and specialists to ensure accessibility and effective communication strategies.
- Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Prior experience (0-3 years, 4-6 years, or 7+ years) as a Sign Language Interpreter in an educational environment.
- Current proficiency or certification in Sign Language Interpretation (SLI level required).
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a passion for advocating for diverse learners.
- Experience working with students with hearing loss or those with limited or non-verbal communication abilities.
- Flexibility to work on-site at least four days per week; willingness to adapt to a hybrid model as needed.
