Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM–4:15 PM (virtual)
Job Description:
An excellent opportunity is available for a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) supporting an 8th-grade student in Fulton County, Georgia. This full-time virtual position will provide 1:1 interpreting services for a middle school student throughout the school day. The ideal candidate will have strong interpreting skills and experience supporting students in educational settings while collaborating with teachers and school staff to ensure effective communication and access to instruction.
Qualifications:
- GaPSC certification must be in hand to be presented
- Minimum 3.5 EIPA score required
- School-based interpreting experience preferred
- Experience providing 1:1 student support preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide consistent virtual interpreting services throughout the full school day
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 sign language interpreting services for an 8th-grade student
- Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, staff, and peers
- Support the student's access to classroom instruction and school activities
- Collaborate with educators and the educational team to address communication needs
- Maintain professional interpreting standards and student confidentiality
- Provide reliable virtual support throughout the assigned school schedule
