Position Overview
The Sign Language Interpreter will work one-on-one with a middle school student, facilitating communication access in classroom instruction, school activities, and educational interactions. The ideal candidate will have prior school-based interpreting experience and a strong understanding of educational environments and student support services.

Responsibilities
- Provide sign language interpretation services for one middle school student
- Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school-related activities
- Support communication between the student, teachers, peers, and staff
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with school policies
- Collaborate with educators and special education teams to support student success
- Participate in meetings and educational planning when needed
Qualifications
- Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
- At least 2 years of school-based interpreting experience
- Knowledge of educational interpreting best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a school environment
- Previous experience supporting middle school students preferred
