Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver precise and clear American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation via telehealth platforms for educational purposes
- Support classroom communication, meetings, and other school-related activities requiring interpretation
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure accessibility and inclusiveness
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interpreting assignments
- Manage scheduling and coordination of interpreting sessions as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proficient in American Sign Language with demonstrated interpreting experience, especially in educational environments
- Experience with telehealth interpreting platforms preferred
- Strong understanding of Deaf culture and educational terminology
- Ability to work full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Open to candidates with VOCO credentials (Verification of Certificate of Oralism)
