Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Strong proficiency in ASL or an EIPA score of 4.0 or higher
- Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter or ASL paraprofessional, especially within educational settings

- Commitment to maintaining professional ethics and confidentiality
- Patience and adaptability when supporting students new to interpreter services
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sign language interpreting for a 5th-grade student throughout the school day
- Facilitate clear communication between the student, teachers, and peers
- Adapt interpreting techniques to fit the unique needs of a student new to using an interpreter
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure optimal support and integration
- Attend required meetings and contribute insight on student progress
