- Previous experience interpreting in schools or with children preferred
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, school staff, and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one ASL interpretation for a middle school student throughout the entire school day
- Facilitate clear communication between the student, teachers, and peers in classrooms and school activities
- Support the student’s access to curriculum by accurately translating spoken and signed communication
- Assist in fostering an environment of inclusion, engagement, and respect for diverse communication styles
- Deliver services onsite, engaging closely with the student and school community
- Remain present for all assigned hours (37.5 per week) from start date through May
