Job Title: Sign Language Interpreter (Full-Time)

School Year: 2024-2025
Soliant Education is seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter for the 2024-2025 school year in Alyeska, AK. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade, providing interpretation services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide sign language interpretation for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade
- Facilitate communication between deaf or hard of hearing students and their peers, teachers, and other school staff
- Assist in ensuring that deaf or hard of hearing students have equal access to educational opportunities
- Collaborate with educators and other professionals to support the academic and social-emotional success of students
Requirements:
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter preferred
- Experience working with students in an educational setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
