Sign Language Interpreter

School Sign Language Interpreters (SLIs) to support students in educational settings throughout the Roseville and Auburn areas. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by facilitating communication and access to education for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
Requirements
- Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) or equivalent assessment certification
- Minimum score of 4.0 or higher
- Experience working with children or students preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a school environment
Schedule
- Hours per Day: 6.25–7.25 hours
- Monday–Friday
- Part-time and full-time opportunities available based on assigned site
Pay
- $40.00–$45.00 per hour
- Weekly direct deposit
Responsibilities
- Provide sign language interpretation services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in classroom and school settings.
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers.
- Interpret instructional content, discussions, assemblies, meetings, and school-related activities.
- Support students' access to academic instruction and participation in educational programs.
- Maintain accurate and professional interpretation while adhering to ethical standards.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support student success.
- Attend IEP meetings and staff meetings as required.
- Promote student independence while providing appropriate communication access.
- Assist in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
