Key Qualifications:

  • Experience as a professional Sign Language Interpreter in educational environments.

  • Current ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education) Approval or IDHHC (Illinois Deaf & Hard of Hearing Commission) credentials required (PEL not needed).
  • Strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to foster connections across diverse learning needs.

What You'll Do:

  • Facilitate clear and effective communication between students, educators, and peers using sign language.
  • Support deaf and hard of hearing students through instructional interpretation and tailored strategies.
