Key Qualifications:
- Proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter, with experience in educational environments preferred
- Ability to facilitate communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and staff or peers
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
- Flexibility and dedication to supporting student success in a school-based setting
- Certification and credentials as required by state or local guidelines
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 sign language interpretation services throughout the school day
- Accurately interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and activities to ensure student understanding
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to enhance the educational experience for the assigned student
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and impartiality at all times
- Support the overall goals and mission of the educational program
