Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Citrus Heights, CA

Qualifications:
- Completion of the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA), or equivalent assessment certification with a score of 4.0 or higher
- Professional experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in an educational setting strongly preferred
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable working part time or full time, with a flexible approach to assignments
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and varying student needs
What You’ll Do:
- Interpret lessons, discussions, and school activities for students with hearing loss
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to support instructional goals
- Provide interpretation during school events, meetings, or extracurriculars as needed
- Assist in developing a positive, inclusive classroom culture for all students
- Advocate for accessibility and clear communication throughout the school environment
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Available positions range from 6.25 to 7.25 hours per day, depending on your assigned site. Opportunities exist at multiple schools, making it easier to find a fitting schedule.
