- Prior experience as a classroom or educational sign language interpreter preferred

- Knowledge of educational settings, IEPs, and collaboration with teaching staff
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to advocate appropriately for student needs
- Credentialed/licensed per state or district requirements for educational interpreters
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct interpreting services for a K-12 student in a school setting
- Ensure accurate and faithful interpretation between students, educators, and peers
- Support the student’s access to instructional content, activities, and school community
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student growth
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
- Participate in team meetings or professional development as needed
