Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Compliance with state and/or national interpreter certifications (e.g., EIPA, RID)
- Previous experience interpreting in educational settings is preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction and activities for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff
- Support student participation in various school events and extracurriculars
- Collaborate with educational teams to support student IEPs as needed
- Maintain accurate records of services provided
