Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) required
- Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in K-12 educational settings is strongly preferred
- RID/NIC or EIPA certification is highly desirable
- Ability to facilitate effective communication between Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing students and staff
- Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and commitment to student success
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide one-on-one interpreting support for K-12 students during the school day
- Be available per diem, on-call, responding to assignment needs as determined by the school
- Interpret classroom instruction, conversations, and student activities accurately and confidentially
