Key Skills and Experience:

- Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings

- Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support teams
- Cultural sensitivity and excellent interpersonal skills
- Relevant certifications or credentials preferred
Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken communication into ASL and vice versa in classrooms and meetings
- Support classroom instruction by providing accurate interpretation of educational content
- Work closely with teachers to adapt lessons and ensure full access for students who use sign language
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times
- Facilitate effective communication during school events and extracurricular activities
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insights to improve student accommodations
