Qualifications:
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Previous experience interpreting within a school or educational environment preferred
- Ability to adapt sign language to meet student-specific communication needs
- Current relevant certification or licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering student success
- Flexibility and a professional, team-oriented attitude
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and clear sign language interpretation for students during classroom instruction, assemblies, meetings, and extracurricular activities
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to ensure effective communication access for students
- Support individualized education plans and accommodations
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions
- Participate in ongoing training or professional development activities
