This full-time, school-based role runs from August 24, 2026, to June 11, 2027, with the potential for extended school year (ESY) placement. Work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing direct support to a high school student who is fluent in American Sign Language and participates in football and track. Sports coverage is largely handled, but any additional flexibility for games or meets is an added benefit.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Certification or relevant experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in schools
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working with high school students is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret classroom instruction and activities for a high school student
  • Facilitate communication between staff, students, and the student’s peers
  • Support the student’s access to academic, extracurricular, and athletic opportunities
