Key Qualifications:
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (required)
- Currently credentialed and able to complete Pennsylvania onboarding within one year of start date
- Proficient in providing 1:1 support, particularly within a high school or academic setting
- Strong communication, professionalism, and adaptability
- Previous experience in educational environments preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct sign language interpreting services to a high school student during regular academic classes
- Collaborate with educational staff to ensure the student actively participates and engages in all learning activities
- Maintain confidentiality while fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere
- Adapt to the student’s preferred schedule—primarily Mondays and Fridays, with some flexibility available as needed
- Provide clear, accurate, and effective signed communication, ensuring academic content is fully accessible
