Key Qualifications & Experience:

- Strong understanding of confidentiality, sensitivity, and professional boundaries
- Flexibility in adapting to various subjects and educational levels
- Able to work collaboratively with educators and student support teams
- Commitment to promoting accessibility and inclusion in a school environment
- Professional certification or meeting state/local interpreter requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide clear, accurate, and impartial interpretation between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and hearing individuals
- Facilitate communication during classroom instruction, assemblies, extracurricular activities, and IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support individualized student needs
- Assist in preparing learning materials when necessary to support communication
