- Familiarity with the educational environment and terminology
- Ability to adapt to various classroom formats and communication styles
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and collaborative skills
- Respect for student confidentiality and a high level of professional integrity
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and activities between students and staff
- Facilitate effective communication in one-on-one, group, and large classroom settings
- Support students’ participation in extracurricular activities, meetings, and school events
- Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families to meet students’ communication needs
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the school or district
