What We’re Looking For:
- Valid licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
- ASLPI score of 4.1 or above (required)
- Strong background in American Sign Language, including interpreting for pediatric or school-aged populations
- Experience providing individualized, 1:1 interpreting support in classroom settings is highly valued
- Availability for full-time, on-site hours throughout the school year
- Open to candidates who are open to travel assignments or relocating for the duration of the contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clear, accurate interpretation between students, staff, and peers in academic environments
- Support a single student, ensuring effective communication both in and outside of the classroom
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and students’ families to create an accessible learning space
- Follow protocols to safeguard confidentiality and foster inclusion
