Desired Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Proven experience providing sign language interpretation in a pediatric or school setting
- ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher (required)
- Ability to work one-on-one, supporting the needs of an individual student
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary educational team
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate and clear ASL interpretation for a specific student throughout the school day
- Support communication between student, peers, teachers, and staff
- Facilitate equal access to instruction and classroom activities
- Maintain professionalism, ethics, and student confidentiality at all times
- Adapt communication style to meet the needs and learning pace of the student
- Provide regular feedback and collaborate with educational staff to ensure student success
