Qualifications:
- Demonstrated proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational environments
- Valid 3.5 or higher EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Experience providing 1:1 support, preferably at the high school level
- Flexibility to adapt to classroom changes as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate clear and accurate communication between the student, teachers, and peers
- Support academic engagement by interpreting classroom instruction and activities
- Adjust interpreting techniques to fit varied learning environments
