An exciting contract opportunity awaits for two dedicated American Sign Language Interpreters to provide onsite services in an educational setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time role—at least 37.5 hours per week—with the possibility of considering part-time arrangements based on your availability.
You’ll be supporting students in a vibrant school district, with caseload details to be determined after consulting your experience and age group preferences during the interview process. Your expertise will help ensure students receive the full benefit of classroom instruction and school participation, creating a more inclusive environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Educator Certification for Sign Language Interpreters
- EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5 or higher
- Strong command of American Sign Language and clear communication skills
- Willingness to complete required daily service logs
- Previous experience working in an educational setting or with children (preferred)
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to collaborate with teachers and staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time sign language interpretation for students and staff during academic and extracurricular activities
- Adapt interpreting style to students’ needs and educational settings
- Maintain accurate daily logs documenting services provided
- Collaborate with school staff to facilitate optimal learning environments
- Uphold confidentiality and professional standards at all times
