Desired Qualifications:
- Certification by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, or score of 4.0+ on the EIPA, ESSE-I/R, or NAD/ACCI assessment
- EIPA under 4.0 considered (ASL Para designation)
- Strong proficiency in sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpreting
- Previous experience working in educational settings (preferred)
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and school staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate clear, accurate communication between students who are deaf/hard of hearing, hearing peers, and staff
- Provide interpreting for academic subjects and support inclusion in classroom, playground, and community activities
