These onsite positions offer consistent, full-time hours—approximately 30 hours weekly—providing a supportive environment where your skills are valued and essential.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Current certification by the National Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf (RID), or a score of 4.0 or higher on the EIPA, ESSE-I/R, or NAD/ACCI assessment
  • Candidates with EIPA scores under 4.0 will be considered for ASL Para roles
  • Experience working in K-12 educational environments preferred
  • Ability to interpret in both sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign modalities
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities
  • Commitment to supporting student academic and vocational success

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing students with teachers, peers, and school staff
  • Interpret all spoken communication in the classroom as well as during outdoor or community activities
  • Assist students academically in subjects including reading, writing, and math
  • Support and supervise students in classroom and non-classroom settings
  • Adapt interpreting approaches to meet student needs and learning contexts
