Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Minimum EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5
- Proficiency in American Sign Language and familiarity with Deaf culture
- Experience providing 1:1 interpreting services in educational or similar settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to respecting student confidentiality
- Adherence to professional standards and ethical guidelines for interpreters
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clear and effective interpretation for a designated student across classroom activities and school events
- Collaborate with educational teams to support the student’s learning and participation
- Accurately interpret spoken content, instructions, and discussions into sign language, and vice versa
