Qualifications:
- Valid Sign Language Interpreter licensure in the state of North Carolina
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language and interpreting educational content
- Previous experience working within a school setting is highly valued
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support collaboration with educational teams, students, and families
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards
- Ability to work on-site throughout the duration of the contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate, clear sign language interpretation in classroom and school activities, ensuring equal access for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff
