Your Weekly Schedule:
- 33-hour work week.
- School hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:15 AM – 2:15 PM; Wednesday from 7:15 AM – 12:15 PM.
- Contract runs from September 9, 2026 through June 15.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Certified or licensed as a Sign Language Interpreter, with demonstrated expertise in educational settings.
- Ability to adapt communication styles to students who are new to sign language.
- Proficiency with American Sign Language (ASL); additional communication modes are a plus.
- Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, staff, and families.
- Patient, dependable, and adaptable, with a genuine commitment to fostering student growth.
- Experience with early learners or those new to ASL is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one in-person interpreting services for a kindergarten student throughout the school day.
- Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and school staff.
- Support the student’s integration and participation in classroom activities.
- Adapt support strategies as the student's skills develop during the school year.
