Virtual School Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) – Oklahoma
Soliant VocoVision is seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to provide virtual interpreting services to students in an Oklahoma school district. This remote opportunity is ideal for an experienced educational interpreter who is passionate about supporting Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students and ensuring equitable access to classroom instruction.
Qualifications
- Active Oklahoma Sign Language Interpreter credential/license
- EIPA certification preferred/required based on district needs
- Educational interpreting experience preferred
- Experience working with Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Provide real-time virtual sign language interpretation during classroom instruction
- Support communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
- Collaborate with educators and special education teams
- Maintain accurate service documentation
- Follow student-specific accommodations and district requirements
