Position: School Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)
Openings: 6
Assignment Dates: ASAP – End of May 2027
Schedule: 30–35 Hours/Week
Grade Levels: PreK–12
Caseload: 1–3 students per interpreter
We are seeking qualified School Sign Language Interpreters (SLIs) to provide communication access and support for students throughout the school day. Multiple openings are available across PreK through high school, offering an opportunity to work with students at various grade levels.
Position Responsibilities
Provide accurate and effective ASL interpretation for assigned students.
Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers.
Support students in accessing classroom instruction and school activities.
Collaborate with educators and school staff to promote an inclusive learning environment.
Maintain professional standards of confidentiality and interpretation.
Adapt communication support to meet the individual needs of each student.
Qualifications
Educational ASL Interpreter License required.
Experience working in an educational setting preferred.
Strong ASL and English communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students.
Professionalism, reliability, and a student-focused approach.
