Key Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Educational Interpreter or GaPSC Certification required
- RID Certification or an EIPA score of 3.5 or above
- Previous experience in K-12 school settings preferred
- Ability to commit to full-time hours (37.5 per week, Monday–Friday)
- Strong communication, professional conduct, and adaptability in a school environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site interpretation between spoken English and American Sign Language for one high school student
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure appropriate accommodations
- Support the student’s participation in classroom instruction, school activities, and peer interactions
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries
- Adapt interpreting styles as needed for various instructional and social settings
