Pediatric Licensed Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Warwick, Rhode Island

Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
- ASLPI (American Sign Language Proficiency Interview) score of 4.1 or higher
- Experience working 1:1 with pediatric populations preferred
- Familiarity with school-based therapy environments highly desirable
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Strong interpersonal and organization skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver dedicated 1:1 sign language interpretation for a pediatric student during classroom instruction and school activities
- Translate spoken language into ASL and vice versa to facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff
- Support the educational and social development of the student in coordination with the educational team
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation in compliance with school standards
- Participate in meetings with the student’s educational support team as needed
