1:1 1:1 Pediatric Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Warwick, Rhode Island

Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid interpreter license and have experience working in a pediatric or school-based setting
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with an ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher
- Successful background collaborating in educational teams and providing individualized support
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and families
- Availability for a full-time, on-site schedule
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct 1:1 sign language interpreting services to a designated student throughout the school day
- Accurately translate spoken language into sign language and vice versa in real time, ensuring the student’s full participation in classroom activities
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support the student’s IEP and communication needs
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all student interactions
- Participate in team meetings, progress updates, and ongoing professional development when required
